Founder & Managing Director
Candice is a passionate and driven entrepreneur who has been self-employed since the age of 18. From a young age, Candice knew she wanted to be her own boss and began her journey in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer and full-time cyclist. This experience not only honed her mental toughness and endurance but also set the foundation for her future entrepreneurial endeavors.
At just 19, Candice became the PT Manager for a well-known gym chain in New Zealand, leading a team and refining her leadership skills. However, after three years in the fitness industry, she made a bold move at 22 to purchase and operate her own retail business. With no formal business training, Candice dove headfirst into learning everything about accounting, bookkeeping, stock management, employment, contracts, and more, drawing on the expertise of seasoned professionals around her.
After nearly seven years, Candice decided it was time to pivot. She sought a business model that would allow for more flexibility and time to balance her growing family and life commitments. This led to the creation of Let's Talk Money, now rebranded as BOSS, a company designed to help other mums (and business owners) build sustainable, flexible businesses. BOSS removes the stress of back-office tasks, offering practical solutions to help entrepreneurs focus on growing their businesses while maintaining work-life balance.
Outside of her entrepreneurial ventures, Candice is deeply committed to her community. She volunteers as the Treasurer for the Kapiti Chamber of Commerce, supporting the backbone of New Zealand's economy – small businesses that contribute significantly to the national GDP.
Candice also stays true to her fitness roots, regularly participating in CrossFit and recently competing in the Hyrox competition in Auckland. Always eager for new challenges, Candice is a firm believer in the power of perseverance and hard work, both in business and in life.
